A year ago, I embarked on one of the most exhilarating and rewarding adventures of my life — I opened the Poppy + Monarch e-commerce store. It stands today as one of my proudest accomplishments. With a mission to make wearable flair for the chronically chill and their cherished ones, I wanted to create something that resonated deeply with a community close to my heart, as I live with a chronic illness, multiple sclerosis (MS).
I wanted to turn this health challenge into something beautiful and uplifting. This journey has been nothing short of incredible. Each enamel pin, tote bag, T-shirt, hoodie, and sweatshirt has been crafted with love and a genuine understanding of our shared experiences. The support and encouragement I've received from all of you — the amazing community I serve — have been both humbling and inspiring. Your stories, your feedback, and your unwavering support have fueled my passion and commitment to this mission.
Just a day before the anniversary, I received some thrilling news: the trademark for Poppy + Monarch was approved and is now officially legit! This milestone not only solidifies my brand but also reaffirms the dedication and hard work poured into this venture. It’s a testament to what we can achieve together.
As someone new to business ownership, the past year has been a profound learning experience. I’ve navigated challenges I never anticipated and celebrated victories I hadn’t dared to dream of. There’s still so much to learn, and I embrace the journey ahead with open arms and an eager heart.
